Plenty of great dads can't work a Zoom call. Get them outside with a fishing line in the water, though, and they're a different person. For Father's Day, we reunited a long-distance dad and his adult daughter for a classic dad-kid tradition: fishing. In the metaverse. Using the game Real VR Fishing, we told the story of Carson, who lives far from her dad, Mel, and brought them together in Quest for the trip they'd been putting off. Fishing with Dad makes the case on its own: distance isn't a barrier anymore. This Father's Day, or any day, hanging out with Dad is still fun, even through a headset.
